It has already been 25 years since the Research Institute for Hospice and Palliative Care of the Catholic University of Korea opened its doors with the aim of contributing to hospice and palliative care. Since being designated as a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre (WHO CC) in 1995, we have made every effort to fulfill the role of WHO CC for hospice and palliative care. While fostering field professionals for the spiritual healing and the dignity of terminally ill patients and their families in underdeveloped countries, we have upheld the core values of the Catholic University of Korea: truth, love, and service, all whilst enhancing its status around the world. We are in pursuit of transdisciplinary, holistic approaches for care so more people around the world can experience healing while having their dignity respected.
We hope this webpage will be a channel to share our efforts. To our colleagues, experts, and volunteers at hospice care institutions home and abroad who have been working to further advance hospice and palliative care as well as those who are genuinely interested in this field, we ask for your continued interest and support. Thank you.
