The College of Nursing at the Catholic University of Korea has played a leading role in the national hospice movement since the early 1980s. The College of Nursing was designated as WHO Collaborating Centre for Training in Hospice & Palliative Care in 1995. The Research Institute for Hospice/Palliative Care was established in 1996 to support the activities of the WHO Collaborating Center with international networking.
The Research Institute for Hospice/Palliative Care has constantly made achievements in research, education, and policy for hospice and palliative care during the last 30 years. In collaboration with WHO, it has recently been training healthcare professionals from countries in the Western Pacific region.
All the accomplishments we’ve made could be attributed to all your concerns, passions, hard works, contributions, and cooperation. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to you.
This Research Institute for Hospice/Palliative Care will continue to dedicate itself to supporting good end-of-life for all. We ask for your continued support for its further growth.
May the grace and comfort of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Comforter of the afflicted, be with you. Thank you.
