The goal of Hospice/Palliative Care Standard Education Program organized by the Catholic University of Korea College of Nursing Research Institute for Hospice/Palliative Care and Seoul St. Mary's Hospital is to educate personnels involved in the practice of hospice/palliative care (physicians, nurses, social workers, clergymen, hospice related professionals) to provide holistic care that promotes maintenance of high quality life for the remaining years of hospice patients.
After the completion of this program, personnels practicing hospice/palliative care will be prepared with the knowledge, attitude, and understanding of interventions related to physical, emotional, social, financial, and spiritual needs of hospice patients and their families as well as distress and bereavement of family members after loss, who are referred by hospitals and communities.
